New video footage shows the increasingly nervous and almost comical reaction a reporter has to an oncoming herd of bison he spots nearing him at Yellowstone National Park. 

Deion Broxton, a reporter with NBC affiliate KTVM in Montana, is live on camera as he spots the giant beasts approaching him, in a video posted on Twitter.  

‘There was a herd of bison walking right toward me @YellowstoneNPS today!’ he wrote in the Wednesday afternoon post.

As the footage unfolds, Broxton’s eyes shift from side-to-side and then he makes his quiet exit, all the while saying ‘Oh my God! Oh no. I ain’t messing with you,’ as he’s recorded by a live mic. 

The video has since gone viral.  

The 18-second footage as of Thursday morning was retweeted more than 59,000 times and had close to 300,000 likes. 

Broxton later posted a second video showing the animals and proving that his hair-raising but funny response was warranted.

It also generated some response on line, with close to 28,000 likes by Thursday

The footage of the bison also was retweeted more than 2,500 times.
