- Marseille are keen to avoid letting the 22-year-old leave on a free transfer
Tottenham face competition from West Ham and Sevilla after being reportedly offered the chance to sign Marseille midfielder Maxime Lopez.
The 22-year-old is out of contract in just over a year’s time and the French club are keen to avoid losing him on a free transfer.
He is set to leave at the end of the season after talks over a new deal stalled, prompting Spurs to join the race.
Maxime Lopez is attracting interest from across Europe, including Tottenham and West Ham
Jose Mourinho is an admirer of the France Under 21 international, but they have a battle on their hands to bring him to north London, according to the Daily Star.
Sevilla had a £14m bid rejected in January when Marseille were hopeful of getting their man to commit to a new contract.
Now that it appears unlikely he will extend his stay in the south of the France, they are holding out for just £10m.

Lopez is believed to be keen on moving to a Premier League side, despite previously turning down a chance to move to England.
Liverpool reportedly tried to sign the midfielder when he was just a teenager.
Lopez made his senior debut at just 18 and has gone on to make 143 appearances for Marseille.
